Great job Avalanche U14 Girls!
The Wisconsin Skeeters are a sled hockey team made up of athletes with varying disabilities from all around the state. The Skeeters came to SLICE on December 14. The Wisconsin Skeeters gave Avalanche players a chance to try the sleds and play a scrimmage. Currently, there are 15-20 players ages 6-20 on the roster from the Madison area, Fox Valley, Milwaukee, Tomah and Wausau. Since they are the only team in the state, they often practice and play exhibition games against able-bodied teams. For the past 3 years, they have traveled to the National Disabled Hockey Festival and found it to be an amazing experience and we saw this as a chance to help the Skeeters look as good as they compete. Thank you to the Monsignor Thomas F. Campion Charitable Fund for giving us a chance to meet and play with the Wisconsin Skeeters!
