Hello Monroe Youth Hockey Families,



I hope all of your off seasons are going well, I imagine they are as busy as ever. The MYHA Board of Directors has some good news to report on our relationship with SLICE and the Forum Board. As of May 20th, 2008 the two boards have merged to create one governing board. As we begin to work out the legal details we will keep the two groups identities and finances separate but we will manage both from the single board.

The 11 members of the MYHA Board will oversee the facility with the assistance of Keith Riese & Kim Ruef. After countless years of service Paul Schoenike & Jan Benkert have decided it is time to resign from the board. I would like to thank Paul and Jan for all their years of hard work through the planning, building and running of the facility. I hope we can carry on the torch with the same enthusiasm Paul showed and the same work ethic Jan demonstrated.

Most of you have heard about the possibilities of a junior team here in Monroe. The odds look favorable as we do have a signed contract with the league. There is however a series of issues that need attention on both our part and the league's part before this will become a reality.
