DRIFTLESS CUP Tournament Format

All MYHA Tournaments are governed by USA Hockey Official Rules of Play:

The Tournament Director shall be in charge of all matters pertaining to conducting games, including, but not limited to, the conduct of spectators and shall act as the final arbitrator for all disputes or protests.

The decision of on ice officials is final. We adhere to the USA Hockey Zero Tolerance Policy.

USA Certified rosters must be submitted to the tournament director prior to the start of the tournament.

The top team listed in the pairings for the game will be the ‘home’ team. The home team will wear its light colored jersey.

Period Lengths and Ice Resurfacing:

5-minute warm-up
3 - 15 minute stop-time periods
resurface after each game

Running time will be in effect whenever a team has a six (6) or more goal lead in the third period. While the game is in running time, the referee shall have the authority to order the clock to be stopped. The clock shall be stopped when a goal is scored, to assess a penalty, for injuries, or for unanticipated emergencies. Once the clock is stopped, it will be restarted upon completion of the ensuing face off.

Each team will be allowed one 1 minute time-out per game.

FORMAT:

Each team will play a round robin with the other three teams in their pool. The results will determine the final standings.

Pool play point system:

3 pts for WIN
1 pt for TIE (ties are allowed)
0 pts for LOSS
Point Tie Breaker - head to head, then goal differential (if needed.) 

Locker Room Assignments will be posted on the TV upon entrance to the facility.  Locker rooms must be clean upon exit.

Trophy presentation to take place immediately following the last game on Sunday.
