In a blowout game, U12 Girls was superior against DC Diamonds 7 - 1 at SLICE on Saturday. U12 Girls outscored DC Diamonds three to one to take the lead at the end of the first period. U12 Girls added two unanswered goals in the second period and held on to its lead. DC Diamonds's fate was sealed. In the final period U12 Girls scored two consecutive goals cementing the lead and winning the game.

Having a huge impact in the game for U12 Girls, Brooke Teubert made the hat trick with three goals and also had one helper. U12 Girls's Ally Einbeck netted two goals for U12 Girls. Ava Lothes and Alyssa Knauf each contributed one goal for U12 Girls.

U12 Girls's Sarah Nicholas had eight saves to gain the win, despite being outshot nine to zero by DC Diamonds. DC Diamonds's Goalie Player had only 24 saves on 31 shots on goal to get the loss.

This was the first game for DC Diamonds but U12 Girls entered the game with a record of 7-6.
