On November 30 the Avalanche Girls Team hosted the U12 Janesville Fury.  The game was a nail biter, but the Avalanche girls pulled off a respectable win.  Cammi Ganshert opened the scoring for the Avalanche just a minute into the first period followed by another goal from teammate, Anika Einbeck.  The Jr. Fury added two goals of their own to tie up the game at 2-2 at the end of the first period.  Janesville came back to the ice and fired in a goal just ten seconds into the second period only to be answered just seconds later with a tying goal from Cammi Ganshert.  The Avalanche lit the lamp twice more in the second period with goals from Ava Lothes (assisted by Ally Einbeck) and another from Cammi Ganshert.  The second period ended with the Avalanche in a 5-3 lead.  The final period saw back and forth action.  The Jr. Fury found the back of the net with three goals in the third period but the Avalanche clinched the 7-6 win with goals from Ally Einbeck and Cammi Ganshert (assisted by Haley Knauf).  The game saw great play from Avalanche defense and goalie, Sarah Nicholas, recorded her first net time of the season with 26 saves.  The Avalanche had 32 shots on goal.
