On December 8 the Avalanche Girls U10 team hosted the Junior Fury U12 B team for an early morning match up. Lilah Bauer, assisted by Marlies Brandli, opened the scoring for the Avalanche just one minute into the first period. The Junior Fury answered just seconds later to bring the score to 1-1. Anna Malone added two with an assist from Marlies Brandli to end the first period 3-1. The Junior Fury came back strong in the second period dropping in four to the Avalanche’s one from Brooke Teubert assisted by Lilah Bauer. Fast action and aggressive play dominated the third period on both sides of the ice. Lilah Bauer lit the lamp again in the final period but was matched with another goal from the Junior Fury. The Avalanche fell to the Junior Fury 5-6. Goalie, Sarah Nicholas marked 42 saves in the game.
