Home ice has treated the Pee Wee B Avalanche well so far this year, as they improve their record to 3-0 by defeating the Madison Patriots 9-5 Saturday.  Payton Hathaway got his 2nd hat trick of the season while adding two assists.  The offense was on fire today as Haden Barker, D.J. Rath, Gavin Roth, Jayden Downs, and Ethan Rosenstiel (2) joined in on the scoring.  Downs added two assists, and Rath contributed one assist in the victory. Xander Obert had 27 saves in the game.

The Pee Wee B Avalanche had two games on this dreary Sunday.  In the first game against a physical Beloit squad, Hathaway led the scoring with two goals.  The Avalanche took advantage of Beloit penalties, and got power play goals from Roth, Obert and Ethan. Downs added a goal of his own, with an assist from Haden Barker.  Jaryn Fonseca, Carson Kurschner and Roth also had assists in the game.  The Avalanche put up 56 shots on goal against Beloit.  Goalie Kyle Theorin had a solid game in the pipes with 20 saves in the 6-3 victory.  In the second game of the day, at Oregon, the home team got on the board first, with a shot off the post that ricocheted into the net.  That would be all that they would get, as the defense swarmed to the puck to keep Oregon at bay.  Theorin tied the game on an assist from Easton Dreyfus late in the first period.  Both goalies held tough in the second period and the score remained tied at 1 going into the third period.  Dreyfus would snap a shot past Oregon's goalie to give the Avalanche the lead with just over 11 minutes remaining.  Monroe would hold on to the lead and win in a thrilling game 2-1.  Goalie Obert had 22 saves for the game and the Pee Wee team improves to 5-0.
