The new "Away" jersey's had the Mighty Avalanche Pee Wee B team fired up this weekend, as they started the away trip at Sauk Prairie.  The Avalanche threw up 49 shots for the game, and a hat trick was made by non other than Payton Hathaway.  Christian Carpenter and Easton Dreyfus added two goals each.  Carson Kurschner led the team with 4 assists on the afternoon, and Goalie Kyle Theorin had 5 saves in the 8-2 victory.

Sunday morning saw the Avalanche at the newly remodeled Madison Ice Arena, where the Polar Caps got on the board quickly.  Easton Drewfus would tie it up, but the Polar Caps took the lead again in the 2nd period on a nice wrister.  It looked as though the Avalanche would be down 2-1 going into the third period, when Haden Barker scored with one second remaining to tie it up.  Barker added another goal on an assist from Carpenter, and Gavin Roth would seal the deal with a goal of his own to end it.  The offense looked excellent again today, as the Avalanche had 36 shots on goal.  Goalie Xander Obert had 8 saves in the 4-2 victory, pushing their record to 11-1 on the season.  Next up is an away game at Middleton on Saturday Dec 9th at 1:10 PM.
