Avalanche @ Verona

After one period that was spent mostly in our zone, it's 1-0 Verona. We had a couple of nice chances but the puck didn't bounce our way. Yet. 

After another period spent in our zone, it's 2-0 Verona. We had a couple of shots in the second, but their goalie snagged them before they could get in net.

The constant pressure and turkey hangover were too much for the mighty Avalanche to overcome, as we lose to a very good team in Verona. We were out shot 48-6 in a game that was spent mostly in our zone. The final from Verona is 4-0. Xander came away with 44 saves.

 

Home Game Against Stoughton B

Penalties were prominent in today's 6-3 loss to Stoughton at home. The mighty Avalanche were hit with 9 of them in the game. We had some good shots though, with Sergio Fletcher scoring twice and Hayden Barker getting one through as well (assists to Payton Hathaway and Cash Anderson in the game). Time to regroup tomorrow morning for an extra practice before next week! Xander had 33 saves in the loss.

Avalanche Pee Wee B @ Stoughton

It was a close one in Stoughton, but the Avalanche Pee Wee B team outlasted Stoughton 4-3. Dylan Lewis scored two and Sergio and Cash added goals. It was a fast paced game except for our 5 penalties (we stopped their power plays though). We had some great passes again today! Xander had 24 saves.
